Sociologist interested in emerging digital technologies and their implications for the governance of sustainable production and consumption practices. Thematically, her work focuses on sustainability transitions in energy, mobility, and food.

Bart has a background in Public Administration & Organizational Sciences, with a specialization in Communications, Policy & Management from Utrecht University. In his studies, Bart employed ethnographic research on the cultural value of dance in Surinam and studied the involvement of young people in the decision-making in the province of Utrecht. For his MSc-thesis, he conducted a discourse analysis of Dutch parliamentary debates regarding climate policy.

Trained in Political Science and Science and Technology Studies with a PhD from the University of Amsterdam in Public Administration. Her research interests are the (im)possibility of democratic innovations. With special interest in boundary objects, boundary work, framing, traveling of facts and uncertainties, scenario development, communities of practice in energy controversies, environmental policies, food policies, and urban planning.
